A missing Babcock varsity student was located following public uproar, guys! The mom, Fijabi Oyindamola Omotayo, took to Facebook on Saturday to ask for help finding her son, Oladipupo Siwajuola, who goes to Babcock University in Ilishan Remo. But guess what? She just announced that her boy has been found! Yay!
Dr Joshua Suleiman, the Director of Marketing and Communications for the university, also confirmed the good news to our Correspondent on Sunday. When asked about the Facebook post, he was like, “Yeah, we know about it.”
But, like, the deets on how and where they found the student are kinda fuzzy right now. Like, we’re not really sure why this matters, but it’s cool that he’s safe, right?
Omotayo was super emotional during a live Facebook video on Saturday, pleading with the public and security agencies to help find her son. She said she dropped him off at the school on the evening of Sunday, April 27, 2025. But for the past three days, she couldn’t sleep because she couldn’t find him.
We’re just glad he’s been found, you know? It’s a relief for everyone involved. Let’s hope they share more details soon.
